AI interview software

AI interview software that runs the whole first round

Not a form with a timer. A conversation: Career1 asks, listens, and asks the obvious follow-up, then scores what it heard against the same criteria for everyone who applied.

Your resume mentions scaling the order service. What broke first when traffic doubled, and what did you change?

What first-round screening costs you today

Scheduling is most of the work

Three emails and a reschedule per candidate, before anyone has learned anything. Multiply by a hundred applicants and the calendar is the bottleneck, not the judgement.

No two screens are the same

The same interviewer asks different things at 9am and 5pm on a Friday. Comparing two candidates screened a week apart is closer to guesswork than measurement.

Recorded one-way video is worse, not better

Answering pre-recorded prompts into a webcam with no follow-up tells you who is comfortable on camera. That is not the skill you are hiring for.

How Career1 does it

  1. 01

    Post the role

Type a job title and Career1 drafts the description, or dictate it, or upload the JD you already have. You choose what the application form asks for — phone, city, and any screening questions of your own.

  2. 02

    Everyone gets interviewed

Every applicant, not a filtered subset, gets a link to a spoken interview they can take at 2am on a phone. It asks about their actual experience, follows up when an answer is thin, and runs about eight minutes.

  3. 03

    Read a ranked shortlist

You get a match score, the verified strengths, the risks, a hire recommendation, and the full transcript and video behind every claim. The evidence ships with the score, so you can check the reasoning instead of trusting it.

What makes an interview worth scoring

It follows up
A fixed question list can be prepared for. A follow-up to the answer you actually gave cannot.
It's the same for everyone
Every applicant is asked about the same competencies and scored against the same rubric, so the ranking means something.
It leaves evidence
Video and full transcript attach to every report, so a score you disagree with can be checked in ninety seconds.
It runs anywhere
Browser only, on a phone or a laptop. Nothing to install, nothing for the candidate to pay.

Questions people ask

How does AI interview software work?

The candidate opens a link and talks to an AI interviewer in their browser, like a short video call. It asks questions grounded in the job description and their résumé, follows up on their answers, and afterwards produces a scored report with the recording and transcript for your team to review.

Is an AI interview fair to candidates?

It is more consistent than the alternative: every applicant gets the same structured interview and the same rubric, regardless of when they applied or who was on rota. Nobody's application is discarded unread, and because the transcript and video are attached to every report, any conclusion can be challenged and checked.

Do candidates need to install anything?

No. It runs in a normal browser on a laptop or phone with a microphone, and candidates never pay anything.
