C1 Career1

Questions, answered plainly

Everything companies and candidates ask about how Career1 vets talent.

What is Career1?

Career1 is an AI recruiting engine that vets your candidates for you. You post a role; every applicant is interviewed by voice, probed on the skills the job actually needs, and scored against the same criteria. You get back a ranked shortlist of vetted candidates with the transcript and video as evidence — so you only spend time on the people worth meeting.

How does the vetting work?

The candidate opens a link and talks to Career1's AI recruiter by voice, like a video call — no scheduling, any time of day. It asks questions grounded in the job description and the candidate's resume, follows up on their answers to test real depth, and typically takes about 8 minutes. Career1 then produces a scored report with the recording and transcript attached.

Do candidates have to pay or install anything?

No. Candidates never pay, and nothing is installed — the interview runs in the browser on a normal laptop or phone with a microphone.

How much does Career1 cost?

There's a free plan that vets 2 candidates a month, forever, no card required. Paid plans start at $49/month for 25 candidates (Starter), $99 for 60 (Pro), and $199 for 150 (Max). Every plan includes scored reports, video and transcripts — results are never paywalled.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — a 7-day free trial of the Starter plan, vetting up to 5 candidates. A card is required and it converts automatically after 7 days; cancel any time inside the window and you're not charged.

What is the vetted talent pool?

People who join Career1 directly are vetted once through a general interview. Those who pass become searchable by hiring companies, categorised by industry, with verified profiles showing what they actually demonstrated. Candidates who apply to a specific job are never added to the pool — they stay private to the company they applied to.

Can I put the jobs on my own careers page?

Every company gets a branded public careers page with its own logo and colour, and each job has its own application page. Applicants apply there and are vetted automatically from that moment on.

Is the vetting fair to candidates?

Every candidate for a job gets the same structured interview, scored against the same criteria — no scheduling pressure, no interviewer having a bad day, and no résumé thrown away unread. Recruiters see the full transcript and video, not just the score, so every conclusion can be checked.
