These terms govern your use of Career1 ("the Service"), operated by Career1 ("we", "us"). By creating an account or taking an AI interview you agree to them. If you use Career1 on behalf of a company, you agree on that company's behalf.
1. The Service
Career1 provides AI-conducted voice interviews for hiring: companies post jobs, candidates are interviewed by an AI interviewer, and companies receive scored reports including recordings and transcripts. AI-generated scores and recommendations are decision support — hiring decisions, and responsibility for them, remain entirely with the hiring company.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. Company accounts are responsible for the actions of every teammate they invite. When an account is created automatically because you applied to a job, we email you the credentials; you are responsible for them once received.
3. Interviews, recordings and consent
AI interviews are recorded (audio, video, transcript) to produce the report the hiring company reviews. By starting an interview you consent to that recording and its sharing with the company whose job you applied to. Candidates who take the general verification interview consent to their verified profile being visible to hiring companies in the talent pool; candidates who applied to a specific job are not added to the pool.
4. Candidate data
Resumes, applications and interview results belong to the candidate and are shared with the hiring company they applied to. We do not sell candidate data. Companies must use candidate data only for their own hiring and in compliance with applicable law in their jurisdiction.
5. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and meter the number of AI interviews per month. Trials convert automatically on day 7 unless cancelled; cancelling inside the trial window incurs no charge. When a plan's interview allowance is exhausted, live jobs pause automatically and resume when the allowance renews. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to discriminate unlawfully, to interview people without a genuine hiring purpose, to scrape or resell data, to impersonate others, to attempt to circumvent interview limits, or to interfere with the Service's operation. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted operation. We may change features with reasonable notice for material changes.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for hiring decisions made using the Service.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. On termination, companies lose access to the workspace; candidate rights over their own data survive termination.
10. Session recording on our public pages
What. On our public marketing pages only (the homepage, pricing, FAQ, about, help, the free tools, interview guides, hiring and careers pages, and the talent landing and job board), we may record an anonymous replay of how the page is used: page layout, scrolling, mouse movement and clicks. We never record inside the signed-in product, sign-in and signup pages, interview rooms, or the admin area.
Why. To find where the site is confusing or broken, for example a button people click repeatedly that does nothing.
Masking. Masking happens in your browser, before anything is sent. Everything typed into any form field is replaced before it leaves your device, password and file fields are not recorded at all, and the results the free tools produce from your resume or text, and your conversation with the help assistant, are masked. Page addresses are stored without their query strings. No cookie is used: a recording is tied together by a random id kept only for the life of the browser tab, it is not linked to an account, and recordings are stored on our own servers and never shared with or sent to a third party.
Retention. Recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Opting out. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is recorded. Visitors whose device is set to a European time zone are asked first, and nothing is recorded unless they choose Allow. Anyone can opt out on this device at any time:
