AI mock interview

A mock interview that talks back

Reading a list of common questions is not practice. Practice is answering out loud to someone who asks what you meant. Career1's AI interviewer does that, free, in about eight minutes.

Why most interview practice does not help

A question list cannot follow up

The first question rarely sinks an interview. The second one does: what did you do, specifically? A list cannot ask it.

Rehearsing in your head is not speaking

An answer that sounds fine silently runs long, loses its point, or skips the result when you say it out loud.

Friends are kind, and busy

A mock interview with someone you know is hard to schedule and rarely honest about where an answer fell flat.

How the mock interview works

  1. 01

    Upload your resume

The interviewer reads it first, so it asks about your projects and roles rather than generic questions.

  2. 02

    Talk for about eight minutes

A spoken conversation in your browser, on a laptop or a phone. It follows up when an answer is thin, as a real interviewer would.

  3. 03

    Read your report

A score, your strengths, what to work on, and the recording, so you can hear exactly where an answer wandered.

What you get from it

Questions about your own experience
Built from your resume, so you practise the conversation you will actually have.
Real follow-up questions
Vague answers get a second question, which is the part of an interview most worth rehearsing.
A report you keep
Strengths and growth areas in plain language, with the recording and transcript behind them.
Practice that counts
Your interview also becomes your vetted Career1 profile, which companies hiring through Career1 can find.

Questions people ask

Is the AI mock interview free?

Yes. Candidates never pay Career1 for the interview, the report or the profile. Companies pay to find vetted candidates, which is the business model.

Is it a voice or a text interview?

Voice. You answer out loud in the browser and the interviewer replies by voice, which is the closest thing to a real interview. You need a microphone, on a laptop or a phone.

Will companies see my mock interview?

Yes. When you finish, the interview becomes your vetted Career1 profile, and companies hiring through Career1 can find it. That is the point of being vetted: one interview instead of reapplying everywhere.

How long does it take?

About eight minutes of conversation, plus a minute to upload your resume.
